New Mexicans who have moved to Washington, DC know that doing so comes with its set of challenges - leaving behind the sunny skies, the delicious food, and most importantly, our beloved friends and family.
However, through the New Mexico State Society of Washington, DC (NMSS), we hope to make your adjustment to life in the National Capital region a bit easier and a lot more fun!
Becoming a member provides you with many opportunities to meet and network with fellow New Mexicans. And because New Mexico is a small and unique state, you'll probably find that you're already connected to some of our members in a strangely coincidental way. You might even figure out who's been driving that car with the unmistakable yellow and red license plate while you're commuting to work!
And if you have been in the DC area for a while, or if you're simply a friend of New Mexico, but haven't yet joined NMSS, now is your chance!
Your NMSS annual membership dues entitle you to a wide range of privileges and benefits, including:
- Invitations to all NMSS events. From philanthropic happy hours to tours of Mount Vernon - we try to offer a something for everyone - our events are designed to appeal to all age groups throughout the year.
- Volunteer Opportunities. NMSS is always looking for help to put on our events. If you are looking for a good opportunity to meet other New Mexicans in the area and interact with our Board of Directors, be sure to contact us.
Becoming a member of NMSS has never been easier - just fill out the registration form on the next page to join. Annual Dues are $20 for an individual membership and $30 for a family membership. We accept either MasterCard or Visa for your dues payment.
